On 25th of October, the lecture named ‘SCI thesis writing and application experience of natural science foundation’, given by Professor Zhu Wenshuai was held. Professor Zhu is the doctoral supervisor in School of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, Jiangsu University.

Professor Zhu shared his experience in writing SCI thesis. Firstly, he suggested that, both innovation and language should be focused. Secondly, he gave some opinions according to his experience. To begin with, experiment should be in the first place, followed by abstract and tittle. Then, passive voice should be used frequently, in order to make it objective. Meanwhile, comparison is needed to make the paper more intuitive. The last but not the least, conclusions must be supported by data. What’s more, we should combine research with hot spots.

After the lecture, teachers and students expressed that they benefited a lot.
