On 11th of November, 14th Asian International Conference on Fluid Machinery, academic conferences of aerothermodynamics of heat engine and fluid mechanics of Chinese society of Engineering Thermophysics andprogress seminars of the National Natural Science Foundationproject was launched in Zhenjiang. Nearly 700 experts and professors from all over the world attended the conferences and 465 papers, 60 project reports and 88 wall posters will be presented.
The opening ceremony was hosted by Prof. Shouqi YUAN. Academician Jianzhong Xu, Kwang-Yong KIM, and other outstanding professors attended the ceremony. The opening ceremony was hosted by Prof. YUAN. Then, Jianzhong Xu, Kwang-Yong KIM, Guang XI, Haisheng CHEN addressed respectively.
After the ceremony, 5 invited lectures were presented, “A review of two phase flow analysis on centrifugal pump behavior and performance” by Gérard BOIS, “Research Progress in Advanced Compressed Air Energy Storage System” by Haisheng CHEN, “Pump Cavitation– Practical Highlights: NPSHR Criteria-Impeller Lift Expectancy” by Bruno Schiavello, “Flow Control Method Based on Off Body Small Structure” by Diangui HUANG, and “Progress in Hypersonic Airbreathing Propulsion Research” by Riheng ZHENG.
In the afternoon, academic lectures were carried out in 12 sessions, among which were 4 special reports, Simultaneously, the progress seminars of the National Natural Science Foundation project was launched in ROOM 8. Zuchao ZHU from Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Yun WU from PLA Air Force Engineering University et al. gave reports, and exchanged opinions of their own fund projects.
Award ceremony was after the conferences. Yulin WU and Kang-Rae Cho won the award of distinguished scientists in Asian fluid machinery; Ji PEI, Toru Shigemitsu, Minsuk Choi, Rizalman Mamat and Dazhuan WU won the award of young scientist in Asian fluid machinery.
