On October 17th, the appointment ceremony of Jiangsu University Guest Professor for B.P.M. Van Esch from Eindhoven University of Technology was held in National Research Center of Pumps. At the ceremony, Jiangsu University Chair, Prof. Yuan Shouqi, awarded B.P.M. Van Esch the certificate and presented him with badge of Jiangsu University.

After the ceremony, Professor Van Esch gave a lecture, entitled "Turbomachinery research at TU/e-A selection of recent projects", which systematically showed the research progress in rotating machinery in TU/e of Netherlands. After the lecture, Professor Van Esch had a good interaction with the postgraduates.

Professor B.P.M. Van Esch is the academic leader of rotating machinery direction of Eindhoven University of Technology (ranking 106 in the world), and mainly engaged in the research and teaching in fluid machinery (pumps), having high visibility and influence in the European fluid machinery field. He is also keeping good cooperation with Chinese fluid machinery institutions and was invited to conduct academic exchanges and special reports for many times in Tsinghua University, Beijing Agricultural University, Jiangsu University, Hohai University and Yangzhou University, etc.
