In order to implement the high-quality development requirements of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government, and promote the construction of industrial technology innovation alliances to improve quality and efficiency, Jiangsu Province Department of Science and Technology organized the 2017 provincial alliance performance evaluation work. 42 provincial alliances participated in the evaluation and 5 alliances were rated as excellent (Class A). Jiangsu Province Advanced Fluid Engineering Equipment Industrial Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance was rated as excellent (Class A).

Jiangsu Province Advanced Fluid Engineering Equipment Industrial Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance was jointly initiated by Jiangsu University and the industry leading enterprises of Jiangsu Province. It was approved by Jiangsu Province Department of Science and Technology and was established in Zhenjiang on July 13, 2016. Jiangsu University is the first director unit of the strategic alliance and Secretary Yuan Shouqi of Jiangsu University held a post of the chairman. The alliance invited Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Prof. Kang Shaozhong of China Agricultural University to serve as experts of the technical committee. It provides a strong technical and organizational guarantee for promoting the technological advancement of the alliance units.

A few days ago, at the symposium of industrial technology innovation strategic alliance, Under-Secretary-General Li Wei reported on the construction achievements and work experience of the strategic alliance in 2017-2018, and also participated in the discussion on the “Opinions on Promoting the Construction of Industrial Technology Innovation Strategic Alliances in Jiangsu Province (Draft for Comment)”. It is reported that Jiangsu Province Department of Science and Technology will strengthen the support for industrial technology innovation strategic alliance after the introduction of construction opinions. The performance evaluation carried out this time is the concrete manifestation and implementation of the performance evaluation mechanism for establishing provincial alliances. The development of the alliance will usher in a more superior policy and environment.
