The research center of fluid machinery engineering and technology at Jiangsu University in China is looking for several postdoctoral fellows in the area of CFD. Each appointment will be for up to two years with the potential for extension. Some research programs may involve collaborations among Jiangsu University and Cornell University in the U.S. and RMIT University in Australia.
1.Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering with focus on CFD, fluid dynamics, heat transfer and other relevant disciplines.
2.Excellent commercial CFD code skills for FLUENT and GAMBIT.
3.Programming experience with FORTRAN and C.
4.Applications include mixing in bioreactors (e.g., anaerobic digester), mechanical impellers and pumps, biorenewable energy, and building ventilation, etc.
5.Good verbal and written English skills.
6.Experience in large eddy simulation and sliding mesh is highly preferred.
7.Experience in experimental measurement such as PIV and PDPA is highly preferred.
