On May 18, the first meeting of the Second Council of Fluid Engineering Equipment Technology Research Institute of Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as "Fluid Institute") was successfully held in Fluid Institute of Jiangsu University.Liu Qing, President of Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute, Yuan Shouqi, Secretary of the Party committee of Jiangsu University, Yan Xiaohong, President of Jiangsu University, Xiao Chenfan, deputy director of Zhenjiang Science and Technology Bureau, Ren Zhong, deputy director of Zhenjiang New Area Management Committee and other distinguished leaders graced the meeting. Also, some notable comrades of Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute, Zhenjiang New Area, Jiangsu University and fluid Institute also participated in the meeting. The meeting was however presided over by Yuan Jianping, the executive deputy director of the Fluid Institute.
On behalf of the University, President Yan Xiaohong extended his profound gratitude to all the leaders for their long-term concern and support for the university. He also presented the history and developmental achievements the university has chalked over the years.
The meeting passed the list of the second board of directors and the proposal of changing the deputy director of Fluid Institute and recommended the vice president of Zhenjiang Fluid Engineering Equipment Technology Research Institute of Jiangsu University as the institutional legal entity. Zhang Jinfeng, deputy director of the Institute, presented a report on the work of 2016-2020 and the work plan of the 14th five-year plan to the Council. The members of the Council exchanged opinions on the reforms of system and mechanism, the gathering of talents and industrial resources, and the transformation and upgrading of fluid engineering equipment industry. They put forward a number of valuable suggestions and formed a number of resolutions on how to further develop the Institute and better serve the local industry.
Liu Qing, President of Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute, fully affirmed the achievements of the Institute over the past five years. Liu Qing directed the work of fluid Institute from the perspective of high-quality construction of industrial technology innovation system, accelerating the integration of scientific and technological innovation in the Yangtze River Delta, gathering and deep integration of innovation elements, talent training of industrial technology innovation, and system and mechanism reform. He desired that Fluid Institute would continue to enhance the construction and introduction of talents team, and actively promote the construction of Wenling Research Institute. He further added that prospects from the Yangtze River Delta Science and Technology Innovation Complex Demonstration Area would be realized which will accelerate the reforms of the equity of the Institute.
Xiao Chenfan, deputy director of Zhenjiang Science and Technology Bureau, Ren Zhong, deputy director of Management Committee of Zhenjiang Economic and Technological Development Area, respectively outlined specific suggestions from the viewpoint of talent introduction, system and mechanism reform, deepening industrial university research cooperation, and serving local industries.
Finally, Yuan Shouqi, Secretary of the Party committee of Jiangsu University and director of the Fluid Institute, expressed his warm felicitations for the unflinching support from the local government and the Provincial Institute of Industry and Research. He asked the Fluid Institute to discuss the Council resolution after the meeting and implement it at the earliest possible time. Our fervent hope is that the Institute would continue to innovate the system and mechanism, strengthen the construction of talents team, speed up the equity reform of the Research Institute, and make greater prospects in technology transfer and transformation, incubation of derivative enterprises, etc., so as to make contributions to the development of regional integration in the Yangtze River Delta through science and technology and industrial innovation.
