On April 19th, Construction Promotion Meeting of National Center for International Research on Energy-saving Technologies of Fluid Engineering Equipment & the 4thInternational Forum on Fluid Machinery and Engineering were successfully held in Jiangsu University. The event was hosted by Jiangsu University, and nearly 60 experts and scholars from 6 countries participated in the event. The forum was hosted by Li Hong, Director of the Science and Technology Department of Jiangsu University.
At the opening ceremony, Secretary Yuan Shouqi first gave a welcome speech on behalf of Jiangsu University. He congratulated the conference and expressed warm welcome to the guests on behalf of Jiangsu University. He briefly introduced the history of Jiangsu University and the basic situation of the current development of the school, and gave a detailed introduction on the construction of the Construction Promotion Meeting of National Center for International Research. He said that the “Belt and Road” is becoming China's program to participate in global open cooperation, improve the global economic governance system, promote global common development and prosperity, and promote the building of a community of shared future for mankind. The 4th International Forum on Fluid Machinery and Engineering will be held to deeply discuss the development strategy, industry prospects, latest technologies and research results of energy saving technologies of fluid engineering equipment at home and abroad. It is of great significance to seize opportunities and actively follow up the construction of “Belt and Road”. It is necessary to further broaden the open vision, strengthen international cooperation, seize the new trend of the current innovation resources to gradually shift to the world's emerging economies, and introduce a large number of innovative platforms.
Deputy Director Duan Xiong, on behalf of the Science and Technology Department of Jiangsu Province, expressed his warm congratulations on the establishment of the Construction Promotion Meeting of National Center for International Research of Jiangsu University. He also paid high tribute to the experts who have long been committed to the research and development of fluid engineering equipment technology, industrial cultivation, transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, and training of technical personnel. It highlighted Jiangsu's positive response to the “Belt and Road” cooperation initiative, promoted international cooperation in scientific and technological innovation, and expanded the situation on the direction and field of the cooperation. He said that Jiangsu will conscientiously implement the important exposition of General Secretary Xi Jinping on scientific and technological innovation, adhere to the road of open innovation and collaborative innovation, actively integrate “bringing in” to promote independent innovation, accelerate “going out” to graft global resources, strive to create an innovation community with the same development concept, smooth flow of elements, and innovative chain integration.
Professor Bois from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers in Paris, France, delivered a speech on behalf of foreign experts. He described his own relevant research experience in the professional field, and congratulated the successful establishment of the Construction Promotion Meeting of National Center for International Research of Jiangsu University.
At the opening ceremony, Feng Xuan, Vice President of the China Association for International Science and Technology Cooperation made an expert report on the China Association for International Science and Technology Cooperation and the International Science and Technology Cooperation Base. Zhang Jinfeng, Deputy Director of the Fluid Center of Jiangsu University, gave a report on the work of National Center for International Research on Energy-saving Technologies of Fluid Engineering Equipment.
After the opening ceremony, the 4thInternational Forum on Fluid Machinery and Engineering was held. Professor Bois, from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers in Paris, France, Professor Böhle, from Technische Universität Kaiserslautern in Germany, Professor Farhat, from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland, Professor Guoyi Peng from Nihon University, and the representatives of Jiangsu University, conducted academic exchanges around the international frontier on fluid machinery. After the meeting, the leaders, guests and scholars from various countries visited the Jiangsu University and the laboratories of the Research Center of Fluid Machinery Engineering and Technology.
