On April 8, Prof. Zhang Zhibing, Academician of the Royal Academy of Engineering, Co-President of Chinese College of University of Birmingham, Wang Yun, Senior Business Manager of the Overseas Cooperation Department of Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute, and Yao Xin, Business Manager of the Overseas Cooperation Department, were invited to visit National Research Center of Pumps in Jiangsu University. The forum was hosted by Prof. Yuan Jianping.

At the meeting, Director Yuan Jianping welcomed Academician Zhang and his delegation to National Research Center of Pumps for exchanges, and introduced the development history, scientific research platform, talent team, scientific research achievements and other aspects of Research Center of Fluid Machinery Engineering and Technology. Manager Yao Xin introduced the strategic cooperation relationship and the basis of the preliminary cooperation between the Provincial Institute of Production Technology and the University of Birmingham. Academician Zhang fully affirmed the research and achievements of Jiangsu University in the field of pumps, and hoped that the two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in many fields such as fluid mixing research, technology transfer and joint training of doctoral students. After the meeting, Academician Zhang and his delegation visited the laboratories of National Research Center of Pumps.
