The 10th Academic Symposium of Agricultural Soil-Water Engineering of CSAE (CSAE10) was held in Zhenjiang. The symposium was hosted by Jiangsu University from August 15th to 17th in 2018, whose theme was theory, technology and equipment of water saving irrigation. The symposium consisted of six issues, namely theory and technology of agricultural green and efficient water use, modern water-saving irrigation technology and equipment, agro-hydrology as associated process and its control technology, agricultural irrigation intelligent and informational technology, theory and technology of ecological environmental protection in irrigation area, theory, policy and mechanism of agricultural soil and water resources management.

The conference received more than 300 academic papers and contributed 20 invited reports and 161 theme reports. The content of the reports and papers comprehensively covered the new progress in the field of agricultural soil and water engineering in recent years.

Li Hong, Director of Science and Technology Department of Jiangsu University, presided over the opening ceremony of the conference. The special invited report of the conference was officially launched after the opening ceremony, which was hosted by Wu Pute and Huang Guanhua. Prof. Yuan Shouqi and Prof. Tian Juncang hosted the special invited report in the afternoon. After the special invited report, a seminar on disciplinary development and a seminar for young scholars were held.

The participants expressed that the hosted department and supported department arranged reasonably with good service and orderly organization. At the same time, related departments expressed gratitude to the experts and scholars for their wonderful reports.
