Not long ago, the general office of China Association for Science and Technology announced the list of winners for the third annual (2017-2019) project of " Youth Talent Lift Project" sponsored by CAST.A total of 328 young scientists and technicians were supported by the program. Dr. Si Qiaorui from our school was selected.

" Youth Talent Lift Project"is a project sponsored by CAST. It aims at making most of the "peer" and high- level academic masters gather together, recommend young talents early for key support and Speed up the cultivation of young scientists and technicians who have a great potential for development under the age of 32. During the three-year period, the project can provide them more support in funding, policy, work and many more to create a more relaxed environment in order to help them make outstanding achievements in creative golden age. It helps them to become great, academic leaders with excellent moral character, professional competence, great sense of social responsibility, good quality and international vision and become an important reserve force in leading scientists and high-level innovative teams in the main field of science and technology. Since its implementation in 2015, talented youth have been selected from more than 200 national institutes. Dr. Si was appointed as the recommended candidate by the Chinese water conservancy association after the members' recommendation, formal examination and expert review.

Dr. Si, the winner of the excellent doctoral thesis of Jiangsu province, is an associate professor in Research Center of Fluid Machinery Engineering and Technology in Jiangsu University. Under the guidance of professor Yuan Souqi, Dr. Si has published 2 monographs and more than 30 papers, authorized more than 10 patents and is sponsored by national, provincial projects and laboratory open fund 6, research achievements by the provincial and ministerial level, industry awards 4.
