On June 19, the appointment ceremony of Zhang Rongyong, director of the Cold Source Safety Research and Development Center of the Advanced Nuclear Energy Technology Research Institute of China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd., as a part-time professor was held in the conference room on the seventh floor of the Fluid Center. Li Hong, vice president of Jiangsu University, Zhang Jinfeng, deputy secretary of the Fluid Center, and representatives of teachers and students attended the appointment ceremony, which was presided over by Zhang Jinfeng.

At the appointment ceremony, Vice President Li Hong presented Zhang Rongyong with the school badge and appointment letter. It is hoped that after serving as a part-time professor at Jiangsu University, Professor Zhang Rongyong will continue to support the construction and development of the Fluid Center and play a greater role in the technological progress of the nuclear power pump industry.

After the appointment ceremony, Professor Zhang Rongyong gave a special report entitled "Introduction and Development of Nuclear Power Plant Circulating Pumps and Systems". By introducing the basic situation of circulating pumps and systems, analyzing the research and application status of its operation and maintenance, taking the national dual-carbon and nuclear power digitalization strategy as the background, and aiming at the actual engineering needs, the future development direction and technical bottlenecks of nuclear power plant circulating water pumps and systems were emphatically introduced. Professor Zhang Rongyong's wonderful lecture aroused great interest among the audience, and the teachers and students on the scene actively interacted and communicated with Professor Zhang Rongyong.

Professor Zhang Rongyong is currently the director of the Cold Source Safety Research and Development Center of the Advanced Nuclear Energy Technology Research Institute of China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd., and has long been engaged in the research and design of nuclear power hydraulics and water supply and drainage. He has presided over or participated in more than 20 national and provincial-level projects, such as the National Key Research and Development Plan and the National Development and Reform Commission Project. He has successively participated in the design of nuclear power waterworks projects such as Karachi, Fangjiashan, and Tianwan. He has published 52 high-level academic papers, obtained 14 national invention patents, been responsible for or participated in the formulation of 5 national or industry standards, and successively won 6 provincial and ministerial awards.
