On March 23rd, our university held the "Innovation-Driven, Pumping Towards the Future" Pump and Valve Industry Innovation Cooperation and Party Building Alliance Signing and Exchange Event with Jingjiang Science and Technology Bureau and Jingjiang Pump and Valve Industry Association. Li Hong, member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Jiangsu University, Chen Wei, Deputy Minister of the Party Committee Organization Department, Zhang Yibin, Deputy Director of the University Science and Technology Department, Zhang Desheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fluid Center, Peng Guangjie, Deputy Director of the Center, Wang Wei, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Jingjiang Science and Technology Bureau, Pan Cungen, Secretary General of the Taizhou Pump and Valve Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, and leaders of relevant enterprises in Jingjiang attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Yang Liu, Deputy Director of the Jingjiang Science and Technology Bureau.

Li Hong delivered the opening speech, briefly introducing the development of Jiangsu University and expressing that the university attaches great importance to the cooperation between the university and the local area, as well as the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements. He hoped that both sides could carry out in-depth cooperation in production, education, and research around the requirements of high-quality development, break through the key core technology difficulties of the new generation of pump and valve products, and provide scientific and organizational support for the high-quality development of Jingjiang pump and valve enterprises.

Zhang Yibin introduced the significant scientific research achievements and transfer and transformation situation of our university in the fields of pumps and valves, automobiles, agricultural machinery, and other areas. Peng Guangjie reported on the innovative achievements of the Fluid Center in the direction of major national strategic projects such as the South-to-North Water Diversion, petrochemicals, and water-saving irrigation. He looked forward to further strengthening cooperation between the university and the local area, and transforming scientific research achievements into local industrial advantages. Wang Wei introduced the current development status of the Jingjiang pump and valve industry, hoping that the university and the local area could complement each other's strengths, cooperate for mutual benefit, further coordinate political, industrial, academic, research, and application resources, and promote the innovative development of the Jingjiang pump and valve industry. Zhang Desheng gave a keynote report on the current development status and trends of China's pump industry, introducing the industrial layout, technical routes, revenue and profit of key pump enterprises at home and abroad. He hoped that entrepreneurs could seize the opportunity of the national strategic transformation period, combine the characteristics of the Jingjiang pump and valve industry, and develop specialized, refined, special, and new types of enterprises.

Both parties signed a package of cooperation agreements, including the Party Building Alliance, scientific and technological projects, talent projects, and other agreements. This has promoted the deep integration of production, education, research, and local enterprises between Jiangsu University and Jingjiang City, and has also promoted the innovative and integrated development of the pump and valve industry in the Yangtze River Delta region.
