From May 6 to 16, at the invitation of Professor Pei Ji from the Fluid Center, Professor Giorgio Pavesi, a part-time professor at Jiangsu University and a professor at the University of Padova, along with Ms. Ludovica Rimbo, International Affairs Secretary of the School of Industrial Engineering, visited our university.

During their visit, Professor Pavesi delivered an English-taught professional course titled "Design and Optimization Criteria for Pumps" to the graduate students of the Fluid Center. He comprehensively covered the criteria and methods for the three-dimensional design and optimization of pump impellers and volutes under various objectives and engaged in in-depth discussions with both Chinese and international graduate students.

Additionally, Professor Pavesi and his delegation had in-depth discussions with the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange. They introduced the status of Jiangsu University graduate students studying at the University of Padova and provided valuable suggestions for the joint CSC graduate training program between our university and the University of Padova. They also advanced the establishment of dual PhD and dual Master's degree programs between the two universities.

Furthermore, Professor Pavesi and his delegation were invited to visit the editorial office of the "Journal of Drainage and Irrigation Machinery Engineering". As an international editorial board member, Professor Pavesi highly praised the journal's achievements and offered suggestions for its internationalization efforts.
